Turn a Project into a Template

Hi all, we jumped in and created a few projects and after some tweaking have finally found a setup that we like for a couple of different processes. Is there a way to turn these projects into project templates? I've been searching and can't seem to find how to do that. I really want to avoid having to rebuild this huge project as a template just so we can reuse it.
