[Status: Backburner ⌛️] PDFs with Hyperlinks in the Review Tool
Could I make a suggestion to keep active hyperlinks as PDFs upload into the review tool? My team uses PDFs with links and currently upon upload into the Review Tool, the hyperlinks are stripped out. Being able to check those and confirm them within the review process/tool would be very useful.
Thanks
I completely agree! Let's get this done.
I am 100% in agreement with this. We use PDF's as proofing documents for digital ads and the clickthrough functionality is part of what needs to be approved by the client. Currently, they cannot click on embedded links, nor can they copy and paste the link text that I've added in the proofing doc. They must download the file, then open in Acrobat to test the functionality. Often times, they are on their phones when viewing, so it's an annoyance for them. I appreciate the support on making PDF's dynamic in Wrike.
Thanks!
Hi everyone! Our Product team reviewed this idea as it reached 60+ upvotes. It's not on the short-term roadmap at the moment. I'll be checking for updates regularly and keep you informed. Thank you for posting and commenting here!

Hey everyone, just jumping in for Lisa here!
This is still on our team's roadmap. Although it's not on our short-term roadmap, the team is looking into ways to implementing this in to the product. As soon as there is an update I'll keep you all posted!
Hi Wrike friends! Is this still on the docket for possible implementation? It's been a few years and I'm not seeing a remedy to the issue in the editing in Wrike. I'm a new user, so it could be user error. Thanks for the update!
Yes please. I have had 2 clients now send back PDFs peppered with comments about links not working. We have to avoid using this now and have gone back to Ziflow which is literally awesome...
Hi folks! This is not available at the moment, but our team is aware of this feedback; we'll let you know if there are any updates in the future.

The irony is that the links will work in Mac Preview but not in Adobe Acrobat or Acrobat Reader. This is why we were caught out ... we assumed they would work on all PDF readers having opened the doc up in Preview. So, it doesn't look like the links are stripped out per se, there is just an error in the PDF formatting that means some software can't read them ... hope this helps some people navigate this issue a little better.
Over 80 people now reporting this as an issue and I bet that others just don't know there is an omission here. This is serious Wrike team... it is annoying our clients who are then criticising our work - not good! Latest feedback...this is now three clients where we can't use Wrike for reviewing documents which complicates our workflow, costs us more time/money...please prioritise a fix here.
Hello Benjamin Rodd, thank you for continuing to share your feedback with us. I'm sorry to hear this is causing trouble for you and your team. Please rest assured that we're passing your comments on to our relevant team.
We will keep you updated in this thread if there are any news to share. If there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know.
Yes! I NEED this for both PDFs and Word .doc.
Right now as a workaround, my team needs to add a bunch of Wrike comments with URLs or the reviewer has to first download the file.
And something that would also be helpful is for unresolved Wrike comments to be retained between versions, so that unresolved comments don't get missed when a new file is uploaded.
