Define when recurring tasks should be created
Hi, I understand that recurring tasks get created one working day in advance, but I would like if I could specify when the next recurrence is created, or the option to say that the next reccurence should be created when I complete the current reccurence.
The reason for this is when I on Sunday plan my week the recurrings tasks that will be due on Tuesday and onwards are not yet created = my planning soon crashes :)
I hope this was understandable.
I'm shocked this doesn't have more votes!
Based on the documentation, I assumed it would create the next task as soon as the previous one was completed. It reads, "you specify how many tasks you want to have in the workspace at a time until the recurrence ends." I have specified that I want 1 task at a time to exist, which would seem to mean that there will always be 1 task in the workspace. But if I have it set to 1, there are usually 0 tasks in the workspace.
Yeah, with three votes I guess this will never be fixed :(
The workaround seems to be setting the number of tasks to 2. That way, there's always at least 1. Makes perfect sense. :)
Hmm, I thought I've tried that, but will have another look :)
6 years later - and still task that is set to be monthly is not being created once the original task is completed.
its crazy!
Hey Ellynoy Bar On! Welcome to the Wrike Community! 🎉
I see that you’ve already discussed this with our support team. As mentioned, currently recurring tasks don’t support creating the next task in the sequence immediately upon completing the previous one - they follow the schedule defined when the recurrence is set up.
Please feel free to share your use case or any feedback on what would help you most. Thanks! 😊
