I would really like a way to either permanently disable, or disable for a set amount of time, the inbox message flag/count. 

when trying to focus on the task at hand, the inbox flag is an unnecessary distraction. it goes against the idea of moving to a task management system over "living out of your inbox" in GTD systems... 

please consider. thank you
