I think it would be really useful to have a place to keep notes that are not specific to a task, but are broadly related to a project.
Is there already such a function or perhaps can this be added?

Some of our teams include project notes in the project header description. Maybe this will work for you?

In this regard, it would be great from a view perspective to be able to see the project and the information about the project on the left and the timeline or task view on the right. So that comments and updates can be seen on the project level while still viewing the tasks at hand.

I agree, a dedicated notes feature would be very helpful.. I create tasks that I use as note pads for that the moment. I hope the wrike developers are working on it.

Using a project description to keep all the notes in one place works for me personally. When I need to add shorter notes, I add Custom Fields to tasks, maybe it'll work for you as well?
