Add a default folder for new tasks
It would be great and convenient if you could add an option on your future updates to put a default folder where the newly created task either created using pc or mobile phones will be stored automatically to that particular folder. thank you
Default folders and default asignees have been brought up before, and I'm totally on board!

Yes! It's really annoying that every new task is by default created in my 'Personal' space - I don't use it and don't even want that space!
I can't delete it, I can't change the default location new tasks are created in.. grr!
has this been updated? it really is an issue and waste of time.
Definitely should be an option. Any progress on this?
Agree with everyone else here. I have setup my team's space in Wrike with folders for each of our internal stakeholder teams but when a new task is created within either folder, my team needs to manually tag the task as "revOps" so that we can use it on our master RevOps board.
Is there a way I can make it so that any task created within a folder or project within a folder that lives in the RevOps space is tagged as 'RevOps" by default?
I'm all in as well.
For our marketing team it would be very helpful to have one marketing backlog. Instead of tasks stuffed away in folder and projects.
Hi everyone! Thanks a lot for your feedback!
Our team isn't currently planning to implement this idea. I'd suggest creating a folder you'd like all new tasks to be tagged with and create all of them in it, and then adding those tasks to all the other folders you need these tasks to exist in. Please let me know if that can help!

Such a basic idea. Really can't believe a platform of Wrike's standing doesn't have this.
Same here! I don't use Personal Space at all. Can't believe Wrike forces us to use this as the default.
Please Wrike, give us the ability to set a default folder when you click the Add Task button (white cross in a yellow circle on my setup).
Thanks
Going to add my vote for this feature as well. If you're interested in attracting more agile workflow users away from other tools, this feature would be immensely helpful for creating a backlog and adding new tasks by default to that backlog (in addition to the project in which they are housed).

Thank you for sharing your feedback here. If you have any other questions, be sure to let me know.
Going to add my vote for this as well. The work-around suggested above seems overly complicated. I think the idea is to have a quick and simple way to speed up the process of task creation. Being able to edit the default space where new tasks are automatically assigned would be most helpful. Thanks!

I 100% percent agree that this should be a changeable feature, as well as changing homepage start-up.
A work around to this that won't work in all applications but it may work in a few, that also isn't cumbersome,
settings > automation > if task/project is created in personal space > move-it to specified space/folder/project

Still an annoyance in May 2024 -- unless everybody here has figured out a way to do this, and I'm just not seeing it!
The easiest and most diverse workaround that I have come up with in the last 3 years is to implement automation based off the selection of user created custom fields at the form level.
It requires you to set-up custom fields, I realize all users might not like this idea, then integrate the selection of those options in a form. Unfortunately, with this option you can't simply create a task, but you can use a form to quickly create a task. The selection of your custom fields, unique to your implementation, will allow you to direct the task to the proper folder.
