Generate Slack Notification for Tasks Created via a Wrike Request Form
Hello!
We use an externally available request form for our clients and users to submit support requests to our team. We have also set up our Wrike account to notify us in Slack when new tasks are created in Wrike.
We noticed that we do get a Slack notification if someone from our team creates a task via Wrike and also when we create a task via email, but not get a Slack notification when a task is created via an externally published request form. We confirmed with the Wrike product team that this is the expected behavior but from our point of view, it is undesirable.
Hi Keir, checking with the team here, this should be working so I'd like to run through this with you. I'm going to raise a ticket to the Support Team to get started. You'll get notification of this ticket by email soon.
Thanks for getting in touch here 🙂
Thank you, Stephen! We very much appreciate your help!
Anytime Keir, happy to help!
It would be great if you wanted to post the outcome here for anyone else with the same question 👍
What was the outcome of this issue?, we are having the same issues with general Wrike Inbox notifications not pulling through when tasks are created via requests forms- not ideal, currently logged with support. Hope this can be resolved asap.
I'm looking for the exact same guidance. My team evaluates requests right away as they are made, and now that we are using Slack, we're living in it. Thanks!
Hey everyone! The issue was fixed by our engineers and it's possible to get a Slack notification for tasks created via a Request Form 🙂 Please let me know if you have any questions or issues, I'll be happy to discuss!

Yes, I have a question. How do I do it? I mean, why else would I be asking here for a solution? Thank you.
Hey Katy German!
To receive Slack notifications, you need to enable the integration, then enable the notifications by folder (here are the instructions). Then you can set up a request form: a task created after the form submission should be put into the folder where Slack notifications are enabled. Hope this is helpful, but please let me know if anything's unclear! 🙂

Hi Lisa, Is that notiifcation system available for Outlook? I want to get an email notification when a request form is submitted. Is there another way?
Hey George Evano! It is possible to get an email notification when a request is submitted - you have to be an assignee there. When an admin creates a request, they can assign users to a task/project created upon the request submission. Please make sure that in your notification preferences, you have the "someone assigns me a task" option checked:
Hope this helps! 🙌

Raising this thread, our request form generates a Wrike project, which isn't an available trigger for a Slack notification. Is there a way to have a project being added to a specific folder notify Slack? Or is there a way to build a web hook triggered by this kind of event?
Thanks!
Hi Scotty Jackson, welcome to the Community, and thank you for posting! I see that one of our Support agents was in touch with you. Please let me know if I can help with anything else👍🏼
