Report or To-Do list by Title

Hello, I am hoping for some ideas on a solution to generate a report or a To-Do list of some tasks & projects.

We are a metal fabrication shop, our Wrike setup now is as follows: Project name as a project/task with 2 sub-tasks, the first being our 'Measure' or 'TU' depending on the project, and the 2nd which always contains the word 'Install'.

I would like to be able to get a list of the tasks + their due date that contain the word 'Install'.

From my understanding there is not a way to do this within Wrike, which is unfortunate, so I am hoping to see if there are quick solutions I can implement to allow for this. I don't really want to manually assign a status or type or something to each item as there are quite a bit - but I fear that might be the only solution.

I am open to ideas, Thanks!

Hi Thomas Burdon
have you tried the new filters yet?

In the table views you can indicate and filter the elements by name for example Install

after which you can save the filters for the created view.

Let me know if it works for you

Should be quite easy using table view. Just create a table view at the top level of your structure, set up a filter for the keyword (see Filters in Table View – Wrike Help Center), and if you like, switch to "single list of tasks" so see a list without folder structure.

I agree with the earlier comments about using table view filtering.

If you're planning to add a widget to a dashboard for users who may not be as familiar with Wrike, I recommend using a custom field to enable filtering if you're using blueprints to create the projects.

What’s worked well for us is creating a custom single-select field specifically for grouping tasks. For example, you could add an “Install” option and pre-populate that value in the blueprint for relevant tasks. Then, using the table view filtering tips from Pietro and Florian, you can quickly apply the custom field using the click-and-drag feature.

This setup allows you to filter by that field when building your dashboard widget—and now that Wrike supports featuring dashboards on the homepage, it’s even more useful. I’m a big fan of that new homepage option!
