Enhancing Database Update Capabilities in Wrike
Hello Wrike team,
it would be extremely helpful to have a better way to update existing databases with new data.
Currently, engineers recommend using Wrike Sync, which can synchronize an Excel spreadsheet with the Wrike database. This feature allows adding new records and modifying existing ones based on changes in the Excel file.
However, Wrike Sync is an add-on and unfortunately not allowed by our company policy. As a result, if we need to update data in the database, we have only two options:
- Manual updates, which are time-consuming and prone to errors.
- Replacing the entire database with a new one, which breaks already entered custom field (CF) values.
This limitation creates inefficiencies and risks. A great enhancement would be to enable a simpler, built-in way to update existing data without losing custom fields or requiring manual work.Thank you!
