Dashboards - Enhance Dashboard Reporting with Statistical Functions (Average, Max, Minimum) for Number Fields
It would be great to see the addition of basic statistical functions for number fields (custom or native fields) such as :
Average
Minimum
Max
e.g. report the average of a Survey Score custom field in an indicator widget.
or being able to report on the average survey score per department (on chart widgets etc.)
This would greatly assist in reporting on key metrics from Dashboards.
Maria, it's possible to set Average as an aggregation method for numeric custom fields. Once you do that, it will be picked up in the dashboards so you see the average instead of the default sum.
@... Do you have an example of this? I am trying to average the duration on a specific Custom Task Type?
Bethany, unfortunately Duration is the system field, not a custom one and it's only possible to calculate total duration for tasks. Are you looking for average or something else?
