SLA for a task

Would be helpful if we could add an SLA on a task through automation. The SLA date should start from the created date of the task.

Hey, DeAnna Santoro Welcome to Wrike Community! 🥳

Currently, Wrike's built-in automation doesn't directly support setting an SLA from a task's creation date. However, here are a few workarounds to consider:

1. Blueprints and Request Forms: You can create a blueprint tailored to your required SLA and use it within a request form. For example, set your blueprint's duration to 3 days (e.g. from September 18th to September 20th). In the form, select "Reschedule around -> Parent task's start date" and include a relevant question, such as "Today's date," to capture the start date. This will reschedule your blueprint created after the form submission but retain the duration.

This approach helps automatically set the due date to match your SLA needs. Refer to the screenshot below. 👇🏼

2. API Solutions: For more customization, consider having a developer use Wrike's API to set SLA dates from the creation date. This can accommodate more complex requirements beyond what's currently possible.

Hope this helps! If none of these options fit your exact use case, feel free to let me know, and I'll be happy to try and find another solution. I would also recommend you to upvote and support a similar idea here.

Thanks for bringing up this valuable suggestion!
