Roundtable Question: Auto Assigning Defects/Issues/Requests etc

Hello everyone! 

Within today's Manufacturing/Product Lifecycle Roundtable, a question was asked about automatically assigning work.  I'll refer to this work as "items" for simplicity sake, but it's a common situation I see embraced through Custom Item Types (i.e. Defects, Issues, Requests, Tickets etc).    I want to share two recent innovations with the automation platform that could simplify automatic assignments.

1. Assign work based on the person who triggered the action:  In this situation, we want to create an automation rule with the following criteria:

1. Apply rule to:  [item within your environment]
2. Add trigger: [status changes to XYZ status]
3. Then do this... [change assignee > User who triggered the rule]

A situation where I see this being really helpful is a kanban board.  There's a backlog of defects, someone drags the item's card to an "active" state, and the item gets automatically assigned to them.

2. Assign work to a Wrike User Group:  In this situation, we want to assign the item to all members of a Wrike User Group (rather than an individual) when critieria is met.  

1. Apply rule to:  [item within your environment]
2. Add trigger: [location changes > Added to a specific location... > select location]
3. Then do this... [change assignee > Select manually... > select Wrike group]

Played out, this rule is great for automatically assigning work to a group whenever an item gets added to a specific location.  For example, if an item gets moved to my team's folder, then assign it to my team.  It is certainly possible to trigger off other criteria too:  status, custom fields, etc.  But the key here is the automation rule is tied to a group instead of hard coding individual users, which helps future proof your automation.
