Dynamic approvals populated from custom field

Hi,

It would be really useful if we could create a dynamic approval process that takes its list of approvers from a custom field in the project header.

For example:

I have Project X that needs to be approved by A,B,D 

I have Project Y that needs to be approved by A,F,H

I have a custom field called "Approvers"  in each project that defines the approvers for that project (A,B,D or A,F,H).  

The approval then takes the people listed in "Approvers" and adds them to the approval when the approval is triggered by a workflow status.

Currently the only way to do this would be to create unique workflows for every project and assign this at the project creation stage.  This is unworkable given the quantity of projects we want to manage.
