Keep comment stream for previous version in view in comparison mode

If I want to compare, for example, V2 to V1, when I enter comparison mode, the comment stream for V1 is not visible to me. Document reviewers may be checking to make sure many comments from V1 were resolved correctly. Comparison mode is usually a useful way to do this, but without the comment stream in the previous version, comparison mode becomes much less efficient for the reviewer. It would make comparison mode much more robust if the reviewer could toggle comments from previous versions on or off.

THANK YOU!!
I'd like something similar: the abiity to easily retain unresolved comments when I upload a new version of the PDF.

Right now, I have to copy and paste the same comments from previous versions because sometimes less tech-savvy stakeholders forget/don't know to view comments from previous versions.
Or sometimes I have comments specifically for a stakeholder later in the review process, but want to revise the file before it gets to them so they are seeing the latest and greatest.

I've upvoted this, it seems a missing function and perhaps it would be good to be able to view previous version comments or changes with another hide/view button

It's been a year since this comment was posted. Has anything been done to display resolved comments in all forms of proofing, especially in comparison mode. We need it for our business and it will cause us problems if we can't see resolved comments displayed. It seems like it would be an easy fix. Workfront has the best proofing method, they show resolved comments in all proofing. Please give me an update on this request. Thanks.

Hello Linda Gonnella, thanks for reaching out and sharing your thoughts here 🙏

This might help as a workaround for the time being: in the regular mode, please enable comments and ensure that the option to display resolved comments is also activated. Then, in comparison mode, the resolved markup should appear as grey dots. you can click on it to display the resolved comments. Also, make sure the Markup on setting is enabled in comparison mode.

I understand this isn’t exactly what you’re looking for, but if there are any further updates, we’ll be sure to keep you posted. Thanks again!
