Blueprints: Dynamic linking within blueprints
When creating a larger blueprint structure for projects it can sometimes be divided into multiple stages and teams.
(simplified example of structure)
1. Planning - PL + Design team + Dev team
- sub task 1
- sub task 2
2. Design - Design team
- sub task 3
- sub task 4
3. Development - Dev team
- sub task 5
- sub task 6
4. Testing - QA team
- sub task 7
- sub task 8
5. Implementation - CM team
- sub task 9
- sub task 10
6. Deployment - Operations team
- sub task 11
- sub task 12
At the end we currently have added a checklist of tasks (in writing, not linked) to the different sub-tasks so that we can check wether or not all tasks that are needed throughout the process for finalizing a deployment to make sure we don't miss steps.
It would be very nice if this task was able to automatically get the correct links from the current blueprint structure. Today it just ends up linking to the blueprint task if tried. If they were to be linked it would be possible to check their status by the status tag next to their linked name to quickly see if it has been completed. Do note that multiple of these stages/ teams uses different workflows, so it's not always the easiest to create reports/ dashboards for this.
I'm sure there is possible to create a custom dashboard to deal with this, but we enjoy having a checklist or similar to check if all we need to remember has been done for each project.
