Proofing Comments - Past versions

In the current update, I have to click to show resolved comments at the top of the comment panel to see resolved comments on past versions. This is too many steps in our proofreading process and has proved cumbersome. Are you able to perhaps leave this on for some users? Maybe have them on and use that checkbox to hide them. 

It took me a few days to discover what had happened to my comments and we are always comparing versions to each other on large documents. To have them hidden at first is not helpful to our process and adds more steps to our workflow, though understandably minor, I'd like to see another solution and changes made to this feature.
