API for Automation Rules

I was looking at the API for workflows and couldn't find any documentation on the auto-assignee portion so I looked at what API calls the website was making when saving workflows. It looks like auto-assignee is handled by Automation Rules, which makes sense. But I can't find any API access for it. Is there a way to access who is being auto-assigned in a custom status?
