Upgrades to Dashboard Widgets

A couple suggestions

1. Being able to view Project level on Widgets rather than Tasks

2. Being able to view by "Custom Fields" in Widgets

This would help with the organization of Dashboards and keep them less cluttered and increase visibility into what is important for some organizations.

Hi Kelli!

  1.  Monta May had this request - could you add a +1 there?
  2. Would you like to be able to create widgets which take filters into account? If so you can do that if you create a widget from the List View.

Looking forward to hearing back!

1. I added to Monta's post... Thank you

2. No, I know how to filter data and make it a widget. But you can't filter the data by CUSTOM FIELDS. I would like to be able to do that because we are then able to customize and enrich what we look at on a daily basis.

@Kelli Awesome!

I apologize for the follow-up questions here, but in terms of filtering by data in Custom Fields, you can filter by Custom Fields and then specify what type of value/data should be in the field, and then create a widget from there. Were you looking for that or something different?

Hi Kelli, although you can't see Custom Fields on Dashboards I just want to update this post to let everyone know that Project widget is now available for Dashboard 👍

@stephen I tried playing with the dashboard project view but it was very glitchy. Nothing showed up even though I had projects in the folder I was selecting. Thoughts?

Being able to do a filter of custom fields while in the list/table view, and then selecting "Add to Dashboard" is helpful, but I often like to create my widgets while directly in the Dashboard view. Are there plans to get Custom fields added directly to the Advanced custom widget options?

It would also be great if while making the filters, if the field is a "dropdown" field, showing the available dropdowns when selecting the "Equal To" option, so you are limited to what is available for that field.
