Can you please make it so that ALL tasks, regardless if they are subtasks or parent tasks, show up in the "'Assigned to Me" dashboard?
My team and I would like to use that dashboard as a single place to find all outstanding tasks.
Hi Dave, great to hear from you again! Just to clarify: you're looking for an option where subtasks would not be collapsed under their parent tasks,ย and would be displayed completely independently, is that correct?
You got it. If a subtask is overdue but the parent task is not, the subtask is buried under the parent task and not flagged at the top.
Ultimately, I want "Assigned to Me" to show me every single task and subtask in chronological order based on due date.

It's not exactly what you want, but Reports might actually be a better option if you want to see subtasks listed separately from parent tasks. Similar to how you create a Dashboard widget, you'd be able to create a Report that shows tasks assigned to you from a particular Folder/Project(s). Let me know if you haven't checked out Reports before, we can talk about those a little more if you want.ย
Right, but using Reports is a workaround when I want it to be on my Dashboard. Especially considering there are other things I like to keep on eye on in one place (like tasks that I'veย created that are overdue as well).
Dave, I understand that it's a workaround, and I do appreciate your suggestions here. That said, just in case, I wanted to mention that it's possible to filter tasks you've created by setting the "Author" filter in Reports, and combining that with "Tasks to do" -> "Overdue". Once again, thank you for submitting this request here!
I +1 and followed this. ย Looking for the exact same option for ourย KANBAN dashboards. ย Prefer to have the option to see all subtasks without having to "drill" into them.
Any progress on this Wrike team? My team is still missing due dates because they are buried within parent tasks . . .

Thanks Dave. The latestย is that the team is currently in the early stages of reviewing the way subtasks appear across the entire Workspace, this includes Dashboards. When we have any information about roadmaps and timelines we'll be sure to update the status in this post's title ๐

I am having a similar issue unfortunately.
My team and I are trying to utilize subtasks on the Wrike platform, but unfortunately I've been running into some issues trying to utilize this. For example, we have a large collaborative task called Tool Selector. I created several subtasks for each person assigned to Tool Selector. One task I marked as "Needs Immediately" to remind myself that that task was due soon this week, although the rest of the tasks are not needed so soon.
The way I have my widget set up is to display "In Progress", "Needs Immediately", "Prioritized this Week", "Design in Progress", "Copy in Progress", and "Implementation in Progress" all together in one column.
Unfortunately, the Tool Selector subtask I had marked as "Needs Immediately" remained under the "In Progress" task of Tool Selector, and I almost missed the deadline for this subtask.
It would be nice if subtasks that have a different workflow from the parent tasks were not displayed directly under the parent task. It would be great if it got pulled out so I could easily see that I had a subtask that is needed immediately.
I read through some of the workarounds but I agree that it seems like the best workaround is to just not use subtasks at this time :("

You've come to the right place! There are many users that are very frustrated that we can't use parent tasks and subtasks in the way they should logically be intended.
Wrike has had this "on their roadmap" for 1.5 years already and considering it doesn't seem like THAT big of a fix, I'm starting to lose a lot of faith in Wrike as a platform and team.
They used to deliver stuff quickly but maybe they've grown too much or have too much bureaucracy but nothing seems to be getting done now.
I love Wrike but after so many missed tasks because of this issue, I'm ready to move on to something better.

However, as I've said in the other thread, I would really appreciate it if this were treated as a bug or unintended functionality rather than a requested feature.
It being added to the roadmap will not have it taken care of fast enough for itย to solve the issues my team is having.

I am rolling out Wrike to a new team, and the first identified barrier to people wanting to use it, is that it is hard to find what's assigned to you, because it's often hidden under something else. Has this problem been solved? It seems like one of the most basic things you would want in task-management software
1) ability to easily see a) what's assigned to you, b) what you have assigned to others
2) easily see due datesย of all upcoming deadlinesย so that it's hard to miss them

It's status is currently "not planned", though I have no idea why considering the grief it is causing us.
OK thanks. Our organization is starting to roll this tool out, but given the problems, we may decide to either limit the rollout or discontinue. Or just tell people not to create subtasks but that really reduces the helpfulness of this tool. Weird that they don't fix it, especially after 2 years of it being reported.
We too would like to be able to display the sub-tasks in the dashboard. Wrike, please respond with a timeline for this.

This is a serious problem. We need to be able to see subtasks on our dashboards in the correct chronological order. For all subtasks to be nested and only shown under their parent task's dates is extremely unhelpful. The workarounds suggested are not usable. This is very unfortunate, I hope that Wrike will take this seriously. Give us a timeline on this or we may be reconsidering come renewal time.
Adding my voice to the conversation here. For what it's worth, a fix for this issue would definitely help our team as well. It's disappointing and frustrating that there's no interest from Wrike in addressing this problem.
My team would also like to see this functionality come through. We are losing items 'hiding' under parent tasks in our Dashboards. We leverage dashboards over reports for ease of use and access to move through projects/tasks.ย

There are currently no plans from the Product team to implement this suggestion into Wrike. These plans may change in future however, so I would recommend continuing to vote and provide use cases for the Product team to use in future discussions about this suggestion.

Glad to hear our team isn't the only one frustrated here. We're continuing to experience near-misses (and misses, unfortunately) to deadlines due to sub-tasks nested under Parent Tasks in Dashboard views. The only workaround we have come up with is to NOT assign assignees, a timeline or status to the Parent Task. When we do this, the subtasks show up individually in each of our "To-Dos" and Dashboard accordingly. This requires our team to take an extra step to add a prefix of the Parent task name to each subtasks name so it's clear which stage/deliverable the subtask lines up with. It's not a perfect solution, as it would be great to know which Parent Task is assigned to who and what the overarching timeline should be without muddying the Dashboard or "To Do" views.ย

Hi all, adding my vote to push for this. It would be very useful to see subtasks due this week for example even when the parent task is not due for another month. I am using the dashboards as my go-to place to see everything I need to work on and prioritize my workload for the day/week. seeing the subtasks as they come - not just when they become overdue - would really help to stay on track to deliver the whole parent task on time. Reports are not as convenient when it comes to planning and prioritizing workload.ย
