Using Wrike like a Chat
Hi!
I would also like to use Wrike to send and exchange messages with colleagues without having to use external software (we use Google Chat and in the past Slack).
Often a request made to me in Google Chat needs to be turned into a task and it would be helpful to have the request directly in Wrike.
Do any of you have the same problem?
If yes, how did you solve it?
thanks a lot
Hello, Pietro, we use it like you described. Each thread has its "task" in Wrike, so there is a lot of context.
Regarding your use case with Google Chat, if there is anything I would like to turn into thread in Wrike or to followup later in Wrike I send this chat to email and then resend to wrike@wrike.com which imports it to my inbox to process later.
Hope it helps,
I.
Hi Ivan Matosyan,
thanks. So you create a task for each conversation.
Do you use a form to create task?
Thanks also for you method to send email to wrike@wrike.com
We do not use request forms for this. Depending on the context of the conversation, the task is added manually to a particular space/folder/project ... We used to have custom Workflow for discussion tasks, but we do not do it any more, and it turned out to be good to have a task for every new thread. In the past we used to have Discussion Tasks for Topics, but it turned to be not so efficient, as you can comment only in one thread in tasks, so get messy soon.
This is a great idea for Q&A from my new Wrike users. Thanks!
Thanks Ivan Matosyan!
This is such a great idea so you can quickly collaborate with team members within Wrike. Maybe get pinged so it alerts you.
Looks like Wrike is integrated with Google Hangouts Chat:

Also, one could use Zapier (or alternatives like Make.com/Integromat, etc.) to connect the two platforms:

Hope this helps!
