Interrupting Tasks
Hi,
Iam searching for the possibility to interrupt tasks.
In MS Project there was the possibility to split a task into two and then to shoft the second part some days to the future. That is always very usefull if you have to shift a person to an other project for a week. It makes nearly no work, it is clear what happened and you can react very quickly.
In Wrike I could not find such possibility up to now.
Is there any way of doing this?

Hi Sven Passinger,
One workaround for this could be to create subtasks within these tasks to show the different parts of each one. This way, you could create individual deadlines for each of these parts, and reassign them as you so wish.

In principal that would be a possibility, but it makes unnecessary work.
We are already planing only two week tasks and we do not want to go on daily task planning. Unfortunately we have a very flexible buiseness to satisfy our customers, so that sometimes after one week working on a task is is interrupted for a week or two and then continued. If we want now to make it with subtask we have to make, due to the fact that this happens surprisingly while already some work is in the task, two new sub-tasks (one for the work already done and one for the new work), delete the effort from the task and put it to the sub-tasks seperately. That is quiet a lot of work for the project manager (if he has more than one supporting department (design, electronics, ...) on the task it makes really work.
So in principal yes it would be possible. In reality I do not think that we like it, as it costs money for this additional work.
