Task interrupts on holidays
Hi,
is there any possibility to pause a task when one of two or more assignees is on holidays?
What I am meaning:
Wrike plans tasks around holidays (so Effort is not put into holidays). This works well when only one Assignee is on a task. Then the task is paused for the holiday time (because that are none working days for the assignee.
When two assignees are on the task and one has holidays the other will be still on the task during this time and is expected to work on it.
Is there any idea how a task is paused when there are two or more assignees are on it and one assignee is on holiday? There are tasks which need two persons in a lab and can not be worked on while one of the guys is in holidays.

Hi Sven Passinger,
One workaround could be changing the status of the task in question. The assignee could change the task's status to be deferred and change the due date as well. This way, you would be able to quickly see which tasks have been paused due to holidays.
Hope this helped!

Hi,
this will not work if you make an effort planning. During holiday of person 1 the second person still has effort on it. Also due to the fact that the task will get longer the effort per day changes if the assigne makes the task longer. So you are right, as long as you make a task planning without effort this could work. As soon as you are making project planning, and with this use the effort and plan your resources, your planning will get wrong.
Most simple would be a checkbox: if one assignee is not available the abscences counts for all assignees.

Hi Sven Passinger,
Thank you for expanding on this suggestion further, it helps the Product team further understand how these ideas would function. Would you like me to move this to the Product Feedback section?

Yes please, if there is no possibility at the moment I would like to suggest to integrate it.
Thanks.
