add list to a board view

It currently isn't possible to assign two statuses to the same task in Wrike. As a workaround for the Board view, you could add a custom field to your tasks to describe the status of each of your tasks, and then choose to have it shown in the Board view. This way, you can mark tasks as a backlog without having to change it's status.

No sorry not what I meant.  I don't want to add two statuses to a task I want to have a backlog list in the board view which I assume would mean there would need to be a way to add a new status value of backlog that can be selected on a task in list view.  Essentially I'd trying to find a way to have backlog, to do, doing and done in the board view (as well as on hold and cancelled).

Tasks in the Board view are organized by status in the selected workflow of the Project / folder they're in. If a task has a different workflow from the selected Project / folder workflow, they appear in a column called "Other Tasks". This column could act as a backlog list in your Board view. You could change the workflow of the tasks that are in your backlog, and then drag them from this "Other Tasks" column to the main Board view when you begin work on them.
