Expand/Collapse in List view

It would be really great if you could expand/collapse in list view for projects for mass update. We have easily 50+ projects in a folder and when preparing for vacations or employee termination it would be more time efficient to be able to mass edit and not have to go to each individual folder. Please and thanks.

Yes, this is a big need I have, too.  Asana just expanded its list view to show things nested, just like you guys have in Table view.  But list view is a much easier interface for viewing tasks, meetings, etc. than Table, so it would be good to be able to show all descendants here as well, instead of having to click to open each.

Currently we use numbered tasks within projects to sort tasks. Would love to replace this with folders, that we could expand in list view.

Hello Daniel Kragset, welcome to the Community 👋🏻

Thank you for sharing your use case here, I've passed on your feedback to our Product team.

In the meanwhile, I wanted to check with you if you have considered using List View on Space level and select the option Show in List -> Tasks from Subfolders & Show Folder Names from the three-dot menu. If you have your tasks numbered you can sort them by title.

Please let me know if this helps 🙋🏻‍♀️

To clarify, this suggestion is to have an expand/collapse feature on folders in list view? That is what I'm looking for!

Hi Ashley Gabbert, may I ask if you've considered expanding by showing tasks from subfolders?

Yes, @.... Thank you for your response. Unfortunately that does not offer the same solution. In my opinion, showing tasks from subfolders becomes very messy and overwhelming. Expand/collapse folders would give users the ability to organize tasks and projects by the categories they choose and still see all of their tasks and projects at once.

For instance, if you had a project with 50+ tasks, it could be easier to digest the were organized with expand/collapse folders (i.e. preparation tasks, execution tasks, follow-up tasks). The same would go for projects - if you are running a big campaign and had expand/collapse folders for content, promotion, and research, you'd still be able to see all of your projects at once, but they would be better organized/categorized. (see example images below)

I've tried using tasks/subtasks to create these "sections" in projects, but I don't think that is the best solution.

I feel like this is related to another Wrike suggestion I up-voted on sections - with the sections feature and/or the expand/collapse folders, users are able to categorize their work how they choose and still see everything on one page.

Hi Ashley Gabbert, thank you for getting back to me, I do understand your use case better. Unfortunately, this is not possible to achieve using the List View, so I'm passing on your feedback to our team🙋🏻‍♀️
