Calculating Value based on duration

HI there i'm doing a lot of planning on wrike to manage freelance staff needs and one of the things that we would love to move into wrike is budgeting cost of freelancers for jobs.  To do this i need to move a simple calculation from excel into wrike but i've had no success so far.

What i need is the following.

 ( [Duration] / 1 week ) * [rate per week]

or

 ( [Duration] / 1 week ) * ( [Days per week] * [Day Rate] )

Square brackets denote columns headings and ( ) are standard formula breaks.

Currently i get strange numbers when dividing at multiplying duration columbs.

Any help

Hi Mike,

I think it would help to see an example of what you are talking about. Could you take a screenshot of the values in your workspace and the strange numbers you ended up with?

Hi Not a problem

This is an example of what i'm working on.  So my site manager in the example is on a 2 day a week contract for the demo part of the job.  a 5 day per week contract for the fit out and a 2 day a week contract for the wind down.  The Handy man is on a 3 day a week contract.

This is just an example. of what id like to do.  i'd like to work out how many days im paying them and auto change that amount if i change the project durations.  As you can see i don't get a usable number in the working weeks columb. i also cant see a way to get the data out of duration format.  so i can multiply it by daily or weekly rates.

Working weeks columb is currently a formula that does [duration] / 5 ( i have tried both 5 and 7 and not got a usable number)

DPW should be the contract multiplayer for number of days paid per will. or place holder of 1 if we are using a weekly rate.......

Working Days paid formula - [DPW]*[Working Weeks]

Then i would take that and multiply it by daily rate column not shown as i can't make the first part work.

This is something i've done in other project management softwares i have used. or in excel.
