How to change start or due date without changing duration?

Some time ago, the way the timetable worked was changed. Before the change, the duration of the task and its start and due dates could be set separately.

How is it now possible to change the start or due date without overwriting the time immediately?

Example:
I want to reschedule a task whose duration is set to one hour to tomorrow.

When I "intuitively" try to change the date, no matter how I try, the duration is always "rounded" to the whole day.

Please do that.

However, I find it strange to remove such an important and intuitive function. The fact that it takes 60 votes to even consider it a ticket unnecessarily hampers our work indefinitely.

Hello, I am finding the same issue on something that was raised back in 2019. I'm sure it didn't always do this and for me, it only seems to now happen when I change the start or due date when I have the task "open". But if I change the date in the table format then it keeps the duration. So I'm finding I'm having to remember to come out of the task back to the table view before changing the date. Very frustrating and adding unnecessary time to every task.
