Filter Tasks Based on Approval status "Approved" or "Changes required"
Today it´s possible to filter reviews (by stage): Filter tasks by the status of files in Review. Choose between pending review, reviewed, and unassigned.
The status "Reviewed" includes both "Approved" and "Changes required". What we want is the possibility to filter by theese two statuses. Then we could create a dashboard widget showing all the "changes required" reviews wich is the ones that we need to do work on.
yes please we need this as well - changes required gets lost in the mess at the moment
Yes, please. I had another thread about this exact problem, but no workable solution was offered yet.
The current filters make a project that needs changes look complete. This seems a bit silly and easy to miss. Please deliver a solution to this issue🙏
I would also like to see if we can get a widget that is filtered for items that do not have an approval. We have an intake dashboard, and some things we need approvals on and some are ready to go. Would like a widget to include everything that is either approved, or does not have an approval step assigned.
Hi all! Thank you for sharing your use cases in this thread and for supporting this suggestion. Since the approvals with a "Changes required" status are understood as "Rejected", it would be possible to create a custom widget to display only rejected approvals:
Is this what you were looking for?
Joshua Zaidel, it wouldn't be possible to create a widget to include tasks that have been approved and also tasks without approval, because when you select the "Appoved" filter, you exclude tasks that have not been approved - and tasks without approval cannot be approved. However, you could move all the tasks you consider approved to a specific item (a folder, for instance) and create a dashboard that only displays tasks included in this item.
Would this be an option for you?
Thats an interesting thought. If something needs an approval it starts in one folder, and then when approved, use an automation to move it to another folder, and utilize that from the dashboard. I'll try that - Thanks!
Hi,
we would like to see projects and tasks approved in a certain month in a dashboard.
I created a dashboard, that filters by approval status and approval date (last month).
We noticed that if an item has a second approval process open and a first approval has been closed sucessfully in the past, Wrike still lists these items as "approved", even though the item has an open approval process.
Can anybody confirm: Is that true?
Many thanks for any comments on that,
Simon
Hi Simon Bieling! 🙋🏻♀️ Great to see you here in the Wrike Community! 🎉
I've checked this on my end, and what you've mentioned is true. When you filter by approval status in Wrike, it considers all historical approval statuses, not just the current one. This means that if a task or project had a previous approval process that was completed, it will still appear under "approved" even if there is a new, open approval process.
However, you can use the 'Pending' option in the filter, as it will show all the open approvals, including the new ones. Hope this helps!

Hi Basudha Sakshyarika,
thanks for the clarification!
I am afraid this is not entirely what we need: I'd like to see all projects with closed approvals (= all projects approved at least once and without an open approval process).
Any ideas how this could be solved? Thanks!
Best,
Simon
Thanks for the clarification, Simon Bieling. 👍🏽
I'm afraid it might not currently be possible to directly filter for projects that have been approved at least once and have no open approvals.
A workaround would be to move all tasks or projects you consider approved to a specific folder and create a widget that uses this folder as the source, allowing you to manually manage and track which projects have been fully approved.
I will also share this as a feedback to the product team. Thank you! 😊
