Date Constraint Adding and Deleting Nightmare
Hi,
In gantt view, i like to move times of tasks, but i find that i am adding date constraints when i don't need them and getting rid of them is extremely difficult if not impossible. Even when i remove the dependencies the date constraints are still there. I even have date constraints floating on their own in middle of gantt see below.
One way to remove them is via export/import through excel but that has a bunch of its own issues as export/import strips certain data not exported to excel (another topic of discussion).

Hey IIya, thanks for posting. Our team is aware of this issue and I've added your issue to their backlog for reference. The team is looking for a complete revamp on date constraints this year and this error will be fixed during that.
Perhaps you can try to refresh the page to see these bars disappear - not ideal I know but should work for you for now.
One up, same issue as Ilya.
Hi Sven, thanks for reaching out here 🙂

This has now been fixed, in Gantt view, you can enable a table to easily add or remove the Start Constraint.
The associated article should be updated.

Whenever I move a task in Gantt Chart, I get a start constraint as a default. As a result I cannot immediately see what the impact is of moving the task on the project. How can I get rid of this default application of a start constraint when I move a task?
Hi Kerren Janssen, thank you for your contribution to the discussion. Date/Start Constraints are automatically added when you drag and drop to reschedule the dependent task to different start date. I'm afraid there is no option to disable this feature for the entire account or your profile. However, you can delete Date Constraints from the table portion. Constraints are also removed when you reschedule the task so that it begins immediately after or on the same date as the preceding task. Please check this article to learn more about managing Date Constraints in Wrike.
