I think it has most to do with how your organization has set up the Wrike calendar as in how do you define your work week vs. weekend.

For recurring tasks, the "Repeat every" field defines how often you want the task to repeat. In your example, you have a recurring task set to repeat daily every 1 workday (Monday through Friday).
If you changed "Repeat every" to 2, then the recurring tasks would generate every other workday (Monday, then Wednesday, then Friday).
There are so many combinations available based on the Frequency and Repeat every fields, it really allows you to fine tune what you're looking for. Hope this helps you.
