[Answered] Dependencies on the Timeline View not accurate

Beantwortet

Hello! I have an issue abou the shifting of the dependency chain. It is important for our team that if we change the date of  a task the dependent tasks automatically reschedule. Everywhere there is written that this should work. When I move a task to a further date the other dependent tasks also reschedule but not accurate. Between some tasks stays the right gap of days, between others not. For example before there was a gap of two days between the dependent Task 1 and Task 2, but when I shift the dependency chain there is suddenly a gap of four days.

What could be the reason for that? Can somebody help me please? 🙂

Hi Theresa, welcome to the Community!

Good question. It's a little hard to see what's happening without screenshots etc. but I'm thinking perhaps it's because of your working days. Does the 2-day gap stretch to 4 days because the change now pushes the duration over a weekend or other non-working days?

Let me know if this helps, otherwise, I'll raise a ticket to our Support Team who can help by email 👍
