Display Parent Folder or Parent Project for tasks highlighted in "Daily to Do" and "Wrike Bot" emails
We would benefit from seeing the Parent Folder or Parent Project name on all the automated email notifications (Daily To Do, and the Wrike Bot).
Our current setup of the project plan has Headers with tasks below them. Each one of those Headers/Sections is displayed, and the task, but not the actual Project it is for.
Ultimately, when a user receives an email with some task due, they need to know really quickly/easily which project the task is for. Our Headers/Sections and associated tasks are similar for each of our projects, so currently the task name itself needs to be associated to the Parent Project/Folder for us to know which Project it belongs to. And the workaround of adding the Project Name as a prefix to each task description is not that great of a solution from a user interface perspective.
Thank you
Agreed! When you have the same tasks under different projects, it's hard to tell which project the task is for sometimes.
Hi guys, the Folders/Project that the task belongs to should be showing in your Daily To-Do emails. There's two conditions that come to mind that might be stopping this from happening:
It would be great if you could test these options and let me know how your To-Do email looks then 😊
I went back and checked and one of them was a subtask so you're right, that's why that one wasn't showing a parent folder. But this one is a perfect example of the issue:
This task is created by me, and I see the parent folder "0. project management" but it doesn't tell me which parent PROJECT it's for... I have timekeeping tasks under each project so it would help to see the full project & folder path, not just one level up. For subtasks, too!!
I understand Danielle, thanks for coming back to me. To cover everything, I think a quick solution is to simply show the full Folder path in a more visible way here - apart from when it's an untagged subtask or if the parent is not shared with you.
There's an existing Feedback discussion that could really benefit from your vote and input (you too Garo 😊). It's about customizing the Daily To-Do, so it would be great if you could vote and post your feedback there (I think you could simply copy and paste your screenshot and the second paragraph above). This way our Product Team has visibility of the suggestion. Thanks again! 👍
I agree, this feature would be very helpful. We use a blueprint with the task and folder structure, so almost all projects have the same set of folder, each folder for each phase of the project. Having just the last folder name is not enough information for the team to know what to work on. I understand that the entire path could be long, but at a minimum the Project name would be helpful.
The parent task would be extremely helpful since we don't always include a ton of detail in the subtasks.
For example:
Parent task: CTAA Tradeshow
Subtask: Prepare list
The subtask needs the context of the parent task to make sense.
