How to automate the copy of custom field information from tasks to all subtasks

Hi all, Wondering if anyone is trying to do the same thing as me and has insight...

I have created a request form that gathers personnel information for a new employee.  The form triggers a blueprint of tasks and subtasks.  My issue is that the custom field information from the form only populates the parent task.  I have subtasks that are assigned to individuals who don't have access to the parent task, so I would like to copy the information down (automatically) to all subtasks.  I could do this manually by dragging the information down in table view, but is this the only way?  Thanks!

Unfortunately parent to child relationships to pull information down is not native to Wrike. You will need to develop something yourself to automate this. We have Wrike Integrate and built an automation to do this.

Hi Aksinia Hearne,

as Tiffany already pointed out, the're no actual solution for your issue. But there are several feature requests regading this topic, so please add your support also there (I just found two popular but quite ancient requests):

[Status: Backburner ⏳] Custom fields of a folder and being important should be attributed to tasks/issues in that folder – Wrike Help Center

[Status: Backburner ⏳] Data entered into custom fields rolls down to subtasks – Wrike Help Center

Hi Aksinia Hearne,

The only way I've found to manage this type of automation is through Wrike Integrate.

For a client who installs photovoltaic systems for businesses and individuals, all the processing tasks are within a blueprint, some of which are related to the materials needed for the installation, such as photovoltaic panels, inverters, batteries, etc.
The client assigns the information at the project level because it's needed to generate a series of statistics. Wrike Integrate automatically searches for the specific task within the project itself when the values are populated and/or modified, adding the brand, model, and required quantity.

It's a workaround; as Florian Kislich wrote, we've been asking for this type of automation for a while, but in the meantime, I've solved the problem with Wrike Integrate.
If you need further information, please ask; I'll be happy to help.
