Table View Filter for Showing Just Projects within Folders

I can't seem to apply a table view filter on a location with subfolders to just show high level view of projects without seeing the hierarchy. Is this a limitation and must use Wrike Reports?

Things I've tried. Attached is the structure (Folder / Subfolder / Project)

  1. Using a custom field as a filter -  folders remain in view and grey
  2. Using the project's item type as a filter - folders remain in view and grey, see attached
  3. Using the parent folder filter for "is" my specific project item type I want filtered in. - shows records but all grey
  4. Found setting under three dot menu > unchecked show 'Parent items that don't match filters' - no records shown

Hi Ross,

I've experienced the same problem.  My work around has been to build a report based on projects.  Then add the necessary fields and filters to build the 'view' I'm looking for.  If necessary, I set as space default so it's the first view the team will see.  Definitely not as usable as a custom view but will provide the snapshot you're looking for.
