Only approvals with files attached are shown in "My to-do"
I've pulled the following excerpt from the "My To-Do" page on the Wrike help center:
Overview
My to-do is a smart folder in Wrike that is created automatically in your Personal space when you join an account. It contains:
All tasks and subtasks that are assigned to you
Tasks that you manually added to My to-do
Tasks with file approvals to which you have been added as an approver
Note the last bullet point there stating that "My to-do" contains "Tasks with file approvals to which you have been added as an approver"
If the intention behind "My to-do" is to provide an aggregated list of tasks for which the user is responsible, it stands to reason that tasks with approvals to which the user has been added should show up in the list.
But in reality, only tasks with approvals that have a file attached appear to be shown in the list. I can't think of any reason why approvals without files attached should not be shown in the list. My team sees this as a major oversight, and the lack of consistency makes the "Approvals" feature unpredictable at best, and useless at worst.
Agreed. Also, as far as I can tell, I can only have a widget that tracks approvals based on the person assigned in the task, not in the approval itself. There is a lot of room for manual error when someone can be assigned to a task but it is not tracked, and they also need to be assigned to an approval for it to look like they have something due. Otherwise, the approval tracking widget always has a great potential to be inaccurate and misleading if it is used as the tracker for someone who needs to perform multiple approvals or a supervisor who needs to manage multiple approvals.
Hi Levi Thompson and Kristy Schaan,
Thank you both for sharing your honest feedback here 🙏 I've shared your comments with our team and will keep you posted if there are any updates.
