Ability to create dropdown options in tables within description field
We are looking for the ability to add dropdowns to tables within the description field. This would allow us more flexibility and agility when entering in information.
Example 1: If we have a table column for "Pass/Fail", and we want to include a dropdown with those two options to select from so that we can decrease the need for copying/pasting.

Currently, it is not possible to add drop downs directly within the description field. The description field is generally used for more expanded data and is not intended to support dropdown functionality directly within it.
In this case, you can create custom fields: You can create a dropdown-type custom field in the Table view that will allows you to add dropdown options, like "Pass/Fail," to tasks, which can then be viewed and edited in the Table view.

Thank you for this! Unfortunately that won't solve our problem - the table we want to create within the description field is supposed to act as a quick checklist; if we were to approach it the way you described above, that would require folks to click into each individual task, significantly increasing the time to completion. We're looking to use this as a really quick task to complete, so we'd like to keep it within one task instead of requiring people to manually click into ten different tasks.

I would love that functionality to. When you have to create subtasks for a checklist, the number of subtasks gets out of hand, especially in the to-do view. So it would be very helpful to have a dropdown element inside the description or a table to convey more information than just the checkbox.
