Automation rule with 2 conditions
Hi Team,
Here is the use case for automation rule we are looking at that will be super helpful.
Reminder @ mentioning assignees should be sent out to assignees, when due date for a task is approaching in 2 days and all the predecessor tasks for it are completed. Currently, reminders are getting sent when due date is approaching but it also gets send to the task assignees that are dependent upon other incomplete tasks. Hence, the "And" condition to check the completion of predecessor tasks is to be added.
Hi Rohini Nahal 🙋🏻♀️
Thank you for your feedback. I've shared it with our product development team.
I would also like to suggest a workaround you can try:
You can use the existing automation trigger, "When all predecessor statuses change to," to set up a rule that identifies when predecessor tasks are complete. This trigger can automatically update the task status to indicate that it's ready to be worked on.
Once the task status is updated, you can set up another automation rule to send a reminder two days before the due date. This way, the reminder is only sent if the task is in the correct status, confirming that all predecessors are complete.
Let me know if this solution works for you. Thanks! 😊
