Dependencies and scheduling tasks with effort for the same day.

Hi,

Is it possible to set dependencies up so that they not only respect start finish dates, but are also aware of how long tasks are going to take and schedule things accordingly?

For example, we have an 8 hour working day, and I have a few tasks that can fit within that (with effort planned of, for example, 1 hour, 3 hours etc..  When I'm setting up FS predecessor dependencies, Wrike seems to plan them sequentially from day-to-day, rather than starting the tasks that have the same FS constraint and can fit within 8 hours on the same day.

Is there a way of achieving what I'm after?

Thanks!

Phil

Phil Taylor from what I remember in the Wrike onboarding, we can't do less than an 8 hour day unless we pay for something custom. We have a very similar situation, I assign items to the creative team and we have our own priority levels and the lowest is "Should take 1-2hours" but we can't schedule based on that. Not sure if this helps, hopefully someone else has an idea how to help without paying for an upgrade or something :)

No Phil Taylor, you canno't achieve it.
When you setup project by gantt you don't have info about if the assignee has enought time to achieve that specific task in that day.

You need to make two different steps:

- Setup project
- Go to Workload Chart to see if workload is ok or not
