Auto Forward to Wrike from Gmail Using Zapier
Oftentimes people want to auto forward their emails to Wrike. While it's easy to achieve with Outlook rules, Gmail asks you for a confirmation code which is sent to email address where you'd like to have your messages auto forwarded. We use the email wrike@wrike.com (or a Folder’s unique email address) when forwarding messages to Wrike. Unfortunately wrike@wrike.com is not an actual mailbox, but rather a system parser to create Wrike tasks. This means that no one can access the account to retrieve verification codes.
Sounds like a dead end, right? It’s not :)
You can use Zapier to auto forward Gmail emails to Wrike. Creating a zap is really seamless and only takes 5-10 minutes. You can have up to 5 active zaps (integrations) for free!
So, here’s how to set this up:
- Sign up for a Zapier Free account.
- Navigate to Wrike Gmail page.
- Select a Trigger in Gmail, Action in Wrike and hit “Continue” (you can select different triggers depending on what emails you’d like to see in Wrike).
- Follow the prompts to finalize your zap.
-
Enable your integration and name it.
That’s it! Feel free to adjust your filters in Zapier anytime if you need other types of emails to get pushed to Wrike or if you want to create an additional zap.
Not enough resources available to develop a custom API integration? Integrate a ton of other apps with Wrike via Zapier in a few clicks.
