Adding Prefix to subitems created from blueprint via automation based on a field from the hosting project
Using prefix to identify the order number that a task is associated with has been a powerful tool for our business. Currently, we add a new order to Wrike using a request and a blueprint. The system allows us to add a prefix to created items using a response from the request form. We are looking at moving our quote process into wrike as well. We would like to use a request(actually 3, each product line specific), and then add the the production schedule from a blueprint once the order is received. With the automation rules, I can do this, but add prefix field in the automation appears to be static, which means we would need to update the automation rule before converting each quote to order and triggering the action to add subitems from quotes. I am hoping I am missing a script or a checkbox that would let me add a prefix based on field from the project the subitems would be added to.

Hi, any update on this request? Specifically, we are looking for the capacity to dynamically apply a prefix to blueprint-generated tasks based on source task title or a custom field value?
Hi Robin Goody, thank you for sharing your use case. Currently, it’s not possible to dynamically apply a prefix to tasks generated by blueprints. We’ve shared your feedback with the Product Team.
