Changing tasks/projects specific type of project
Hi
I have set up a new space for a specific job we are doing which involves reviewing hundreds of website pages.
- I've set up a request form in which the person requesting the review simply enters the name of the page and a blueprint project is automatically set up in a 'Requested' folder with five tasks. The project is named with the page name.
- That bit is working perfectly!
- However, we also have an Excel document that already has the names of multiple of these pages entered.
- I would like to import these entries and have each one set up as this specific project blueprint
- I do know how to import and that is working well
- However...the imports are coming in as tasks, so I can't change them into projects, let alone the specific type of project I have set up
- I've played around with some automations - I was thinking that if I could get them to come in as projects, I might be able to set up an automation to convert them into the type of project I want them to be.
- Or would mass edit work? Again, I think they would need to start as some type of project, rather than a task.
Can I somehow get these to come in as projects that I can then change into another type of project - and retain the name?
I hope this is kind of clear... Please let me know if you have any brilliant ideas!

can you setup a new blueprint to make want you want to achieve.
In blueprint you can setup a new projects, with all task and custom item type you need and launch project by form.

Hi Pietro - sorry, that wasn't clear in my original post, which I will edit.
The project is a blueprint with tasks (also blueprints) and that is what the form is launching - that is working perfectly.
I'm trying to somehow extend that so that I can import items and have each one become that specific project that isn't working for me. I know it can't be done on import, but I'm digging around to see if there is another way that I might be able to wangle it.
