'Show Tasks from Subfolders' in New Table View

I've seen that the List View is going to be removed (huge bummer) and we'll be forced to use the New Table View.

The new Table View doesn't have the option to 'Show Tasks from Subfolders' which is a massive issue as I usually view all my tasks by Status. Now it breaks it up into their individual parent/brand folder, which is incredibly clunky and not at all effective for my purposes! PLEASE FIX IT!

How sad is it that we have to request a feature which was already available for years and is going to be taken away without need. 😢

Yes, we use this frequently as well!  It's a quick way to look at an entire portfolio of work and say "what of this portfolio is assigned to X user" or "what in this portfolio is overdue" etc etc using filters which results in such a nice clean list of tasks with a project tag showing which it's associated with, without having to create a report.  Sometimes we don't even use filters and we just change the sort order for a nice clean list of tasks by "date modified" or by "status", without nesting.

I add all the function possibile for bulk operations like:

- Advanced scheduling
- Unassign from
- Reassing to
- Switch Assigees
- Add to
- Remove from
- Change item type

that now are missed in New Table view

In the meantime, we've gotten used to using the Subitems menu, including 'Single list of tasks'. What still is a mystery to me, is why and when it is switched on or off. We've made a lot of custom table views that show the desired info when 'Single list of tasks' is switched on. But I cannot guarantee that it is switched on in these view by default. Or can I?

Hi Karen Reijneveld

I experienced the same! I guess this parameter is not stored with other custom view settings (like filters), but globally for every view of a folder. And if anyone who uses this view changes the setting, it will remain so also for all other users. But this is only a guess.
