Verbatim Search
The search function is very hard to predict and frequently returns irrelevant results. For example I would like to be able to search for any task that contains both the word "joist" and the word "sloping" in any order in a task title. The documentation (and conversation with Wrike support) suggested that the search input
title:joist title:sloping
is the best practice for this.
The second item in the list of the search operation's results is only a partial match, with only one of the terms found. The third item is a full match. Further filtering revealed at least another full match further down the list, which is several hundred items long. Because the results are noisy, it's difficult (or impossible even) to know whether I have found all the relevant tasks.
I would really like a way to ensure that I am looking at search results that are
- only complete matches for my search input and...
- all the complete matches for my search input.
It doesn't even need to be the default mode of operation. Just something I could turn on and off would be fine.
Hi @.... That's right. I've been working with @... and Advanced Support on this. Details are still emerging.
A quick test showed that wrapping the terms in quotation marks did not affect the search result, for what it's worth.
