Created date&time

Hello,

I dont know if there was a similiar question around but we are trying to make some kind of ticketing system for our systems. We need to track the time between task creation and current date and time.

I have created custom field with formula to try to track the time but it seems not to work as the creation date is only a date - we need to track the hours also.

I have tried with a formula below:

Is there any way to track that the request was created for example 5h ago?

Thank you for support.

Hi MB,

using this formula it works for me.

Can you share the results you see?

Hello Pietro,

Thank you for reply.

I have created tasks today at 9:00 CET and now (14 CET) still the result is equal to 0h.

It seems that the problem lies that Created date field contains only the date not the creation time...

I will check tommorow if it will count days - but we need to somehow register the time passing from ticket to priotitize the tasks.

Try to visualize this field on a previus task you created.

Also for me, time for task created today is equal to 0h.

I remember that in Wrike Labs (https://www.wrike.com/labs/?acc=4913757) you had the possibilty to add HH:MM to Due Date and Start Date but is not visible now. Lisa do you know if is there yet this possibility?

Another way is to use an external tool to get the data, for example Wrike Integrate o Make.com.

Hi MB,

Are you using Wrike Analyze? Or any other BI solution?

In Wrike Analyze, you get the timestamps of transitions between status. This might be useful to investigate as history is stored.

Example of a report formula to show task status in Days.

Only ideas I have with current functionality would be:

If you have a request form that you use to intake work, create a custom field for the date of submission and ask the user to fill it out. Then in Wrike Labs, turn on the date/time feature. Then you might be able to calculate hours if Wrike Analyze isn't an option.

I am hoping in the near future, there will be more automation options where you could automate copying the created date over to a custom field upon task creation and get it that way.

Wrike labs feature:
