QUESTION: Is it possible to add a default value on custom columns?

Hi,

I am creating a custom column with "Dropdown" as field type. Is it possible to add a default value on custom column? This way, when a new task with a custom column is created, the task's custom column has a value by default.

Hi Chylene, welcome to the Community and this is a great question! 
 
Currently, preset Custom Field values are not available but I can see how this could be valuable in certain cases. Adrian raised this in our Product Feedback section in the post Allow default values for fields. It would be great if you could upvote the suggestion by clicking the + button under his post. If you have a use case to add please comment on the post too. This will bring it to our Product team's attention when discussing Custom Fields in the future.
