Creating weekly work themes
I'm working on my team's communication plan and we already have a fairly detailed calendar by having a different timeline for each channel. However, I want to unite these timelines under a weekly theme,so that people can quickly look at the calendar and know what the team is up to that week and how that might affect their work. Does anything have an idea? Should I make a new folder or timeline somehow and make sure it shows on the comm planning timeline?
Hi Meaghan, great question! Just to make sure we're on the same page here: your channels are different Folders in Wrike, which house tasks assigned to a specific team. You want to be able to view all of these team schedules in the Timeline View side by side, so that everyone could see not only their own work, but what other teams are working on too?
Hi Anastasia,
Yes, that's essentially what I'm looking to accomplish! But since we have so many tasks in each channel (and will be using wrike more and more), I think it'd be visually overwhelming to see all tasks next to each other. That's why I want to try to take it higher-level and just show people a theme/summary of the work of each channel, which ideally with complement all the channels and be similar.
Thanks!
Meaghan, thanks for following up! When you say higher-level, do you mean something like blank bars without task details? Apart from the Timeline, I wanted to recommend the Workload View. It allows you to check full Workloads when planning out your Project, and it's fairly easy to switch between that global context and the smaller scale of your own team. Happy to hear your thoughts on this!
