Request Forms based on templates

I follow the guides and the videos, but the main issue we are finding is that people are getting notified about their "template tasks" and causing confusion, deletion, or people marking the "template task" as complete.

Is there a way to have the templates not notify people?

We also run into the problems of the template tasks showing up in everyone's "work" tab.  They will not only see their actual work, but their not completed "template tasks".

Is there a best practice or solution to this issue?

Hi Caleb, thanks for posting your question here! I'd recommend setting the status of those tasks to "Deferred", since items with this status don't appear in to-do sections in the Workspace. Check out this discussion about excluding template tasks from My Work and Dashboards to learn more! :)

I actually created a new "deferred" tag as "Template" for better visibility.

Looks like people still get email alerts regardless of if the task is labeled as deferred.  This is critical for me.  Are these notifications are on a per user account or can I address an account-wide notification set?

I don't want people to get notified in any way when labeled as 'deferred (Template)'.  No emails, no showing up in my work... I know it will confuse our workers.

Hi Caleb, sorry for taking a while, I just wanted to make sure I checked in about all available options before getting back to you. I know it isn't a solution for your use case, but currently, the best option is to ask users to disable these notifications individually (or assign after by Mass Editing after duplication). Email notifications and recurring work are something our Product Team has been discussing, so thank you so much for bringing this up and voicing your thoughts about this.
