Creating a New Folder Without the Hassle
When creating a new folder, Wrike automatically jumps to that folder page. It would be awesome if that did not happen. So far the only method I found that works is creating a new window in my browser and using one browser for folder additions and the other for adding / editing content. This method is well, inelegant to say the least. Is there a way to keep the page on my designated task or folder without jumping to the new one that is created?
Hi Kevin, thank you for reaching out to the Community! The newly created item is automatically opened so any additional details could be filled in, such as start/end dates and other attributes, as well as the description field. How many items do you usually create at once? A potential solution for creating a whole structure quickly is using XLS Import, which allows you to create a whole structure at once, after which you can go into individual items to edit them. Would this help? Happy to dive into more details!
I started to think about the way we create a new project for our quoting team. We have a folder with a bunch of sub-folders. When you duplicate the parent folder, the others duplicate as well. Wondering if you might have a typical pattern during these bulk creation processes. You coud create a "template folder" and duplicate it as part of your process.
