MS Gantt WBS - Task ID Not Being Able to Load into Wrike
Hi,
I have been trying to use Wrike in the last few weeks, and there are many areas that make my work very difficult. The WBS auto generated in MS Project is not loaded into Wrike. The task IDs added in Wrike do not make much sense and are not valuable to use.
I was told that I had to manually enter those numbers by myself. This will be too time consuming. Changes should be auto captured and adjusted in order.
Thanks.
Fiona
Hi Fiona, thanks for posting on the Community! You're right, not all elements of MS Project can be carried over into Wrike, but I'd love to hear a bit more about your WBS and processes and help you set those up in Wrike! :)
I agree with Fiona, fundamental / global standard project management includes the development of work breakdown structure including the numbering approach. This should be a toggle on/toggle off field (maybe custom field) for a project.
I agree, a WBS (work breakdown structure) column would be extremely helpful.
ProjectManager.com has a column which can be added to a list of tasks.
this column is filled automatically with the correct number (such as 3.2.4) depending on the task order and level of indentation.

Hey wrike forum post followers, there is a bit of WBS related momentum in a different post (which you might already be following). If we can get a few more votes there, it might encourage wrike to consider some development.

I assume (hope) that there will be an opportunity to help wrike product developers figure out the scope to best deliver the specific feature you are interested in.
