Commas in Project Titles

Our project names are client names, (spelled last name, first name), so commas would be helpful.

Adam, thanks for the feedback! I can start by recommending trying out other symbols, but of course, that's not a solution, so thank you for posting this here :) Is there any particular reason you find that naming convention most useful - is it for sorting order?

Meanwhile, as a workaround single low-9 quotation mark (‚) can be used in project titles, which is similar or quite often is the same glyph.

I agree, we need commas!

We don't have names in our project titles, but we do have longer titles that often list several items (e.g. Main Deck, Aft Deck, and Bridge Deck Paint Repairs). On the same note, it would be SUPER useful if we could use the "/" symbol but we can't since that's already used by the system for folder/project paths. Did the developers really need to use such a common symbol for the folder path?

Instead, we end up having to use grammatically incorrect titles like "Main Deck Aft Deck and Bridge Deck Paint" or "Overhaul-Service Steering Gear" instead of "Overhaul/Service Steering Gear". This drives my colleagues and me crazy and doesn't look very professional when we give our clients access to our projects.

@Maxim, I looked for the "single low-9 quotation mark" shortcut for Windows but couldn't find it anywhere. English keyboard, so that symbol doesn't exist on the keys...

Thank you!

Soraya, you can just copy this symbol from my message, and use it in Wrike folder/project names. It works :)

Just ran across the need for a forward slash (/) in a project name today to indicate the weight of a product. My workaround, thanks to Maxim Fedyukov's old comment, was to use the emoji/symbol panel and insert what looked like a forward slash, but it was actually the fraction bar. So "1⁄2" worked in the project title! Grateful for the workarounds this community has found to solve our various use cases! 🙌

Being it's 2023, I am surprised that there are text database fields unable to store common unicode characters.  I haven't programmed in a long while, but this seems ridiculous.  Add my name to the list requesting this functionality.

Thank you for supporting this idea Andrew Cornell! This is only not possible in titles. Could you please share your use case?

Upvoting. We have many project titles like "Improve x, y, and z", most of which would not read well if the commas were removed.
