Custom Fields - Create anywhere

Custom fields should be "createable" from anywhere, much like a hashag can be added in text strings.  This would allow a person to avoid having to go to the table view to use the functionality.

Thanks for another idea about Custom Fields, Todd! I can see how this could be useful from the Task View, but I'm interested in learning how you see this working in other views.

In the Board view, I could see this being a part of the three dot menu, or a plus button.  It exists in the table view already.

I dont mind even if I have to go to table view to create a custom view, what I want is the I should be able to decide which folder/project/task/subtask should have it or not.
 
I should be able to control where I want the custom field to appear and where I want it hidden.
